Garth Williams Promoted to General Manager of Derby City Gaming

LOUISVILLE, KY., (April 21, 2022) Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: CHDN) announced today that Garth Williams has been promoted to General Manager where he will oversee Derby City Gaming (“DCG” or the “Property”) operations in Louisville, Kentucky. Williams brings over 18 years of hospitality and gaming experience to this role, having most recently served as Senior Director of Finance at the Property.

Prior to joining the DCG team in 2019, Williams worked at CDI’s Calder Casino in Miami Gardens, Florida, as Director of Finance. Additional professional experience includes finance roles for MGM Springfield and The Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park and global casino operations management for Carnival Corporation & PLC. “Since his time at DCG, Garth has helped lead the property to record performance,” said Maureen Adams, Senior Vice President of Gaming Operations for CDI. “Since the role of General Manager opened last year following an internal promotion, Garth has been leading day-to-day operations for the Property and has earned the respect of the team during a time of growth and transition. His proven leadership makes him a natural fit for this deserved promotion. We are excited to see what the future holds for Derby City Gaming in Louisville under his management.”

Williams’s promotion is effective immediately.
