Derby City Gaming Hotel Supports Wesley House Back-to-School Bash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 24, 2026) — Derby City Gaming Hotel proudly presented a $2,500 donation to Wesley House Community Services on Friday, June 19, in support of the organization’s Annual Back-to-School Bash, taking place July 18. As Wesley House’s largest community event of the year, the Back-to-School Bash serves more than 500 children and families by providing backpacks, school supplies and valuable community resources to help students begin the school year prepared and confident.

For more than a century, Wesley House Community Services has been a cornerstone of Louisville’s Preston Corridor community. Guided by its mission, “To help people help themselves,” the organization provides programs that empower individuals and families to thrive, including early childhood education, youth enrichment, workforce development, technology training and community advocacy. Through initiatives like the WesKids Child Development Center and the Young Brilliant Achievers program, Wesley House continues to create opportunities, remove barriers, strengthen the community, and advance equity for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
