Rosie’s Gaming Emporium Supports Emporia Mobile Food Pantry

EMPORIA, Va. (June 22, 2026)— On Thursday, June 18, Rosie’s Gaming Emporium supported the June Mobile Food Pantry in Emporia, joining local community partners and volunteers to help provide food assistance to hundreds of households in the region.

With support from Rosie’s team members and other community volunteers, the June distribution served 355 households, including 489 adults, 271 children and 128 seniors. In total, the event helped provide food assistance to 888 people in the Emporia community.

Volunteers assisted with setup, food distribution and cleanup, helping ensure the event was safe, organized and accessible for families receiving support. The Mobile Food Pantry is part of an ongoing effort to address food insecurity and provide critical resources to individuals and families throughout Southern Virginia.

Rosie’s Gaming Emporium is proud to support initiatives that strengthen the communities it serves. By partnering with local organizations and encouraging team members to volunteer, Rosie’s continues to demonstrate its commitment to being a good neighbor in Emporia and across Virginia.

The Mobile Food Pantry generally takes place monthly, with distribution schedules shared by community partners.

On Thursday, April 2, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel proudly partnered with the Christian County Military Affairs Committee to host the 4th Annual Hams for Heroes event. It’s an initiative dedicated to giving back to the brave individuals who serve our country and community.

During this year’s event, more than 600 Easter hams and sides were distributed to active-duty military members, veterans and first responders.
