Alley Cat Advocates Receives $20,000 Greatest Two Minutes in Giving Grand Prize

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (September 24, 2026) — Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI”) team members recently visited Alley Cat Advocates’ Community Cat Complex to present the nonprofit with the $20,000 grand prize from Give for Good Louisville’s Greatest Two Minutes in Giving and learn more about its work with Louisville’s feral cat population.

The Greatest Two Minutes in Giving is CDI’s signature prize opportunity during Give for Good Louisville. For two minutes during the giving day, donations to participating nonprofits are entered into a random drawing for additional funding. Alley Cat Advocates received this year’s $20,000 “Win” prize.

Founded in 1999, Alley Cat Advocates works to improve the lives of unowned cats in the Louisville area. Its Trap-Neuter-Return program helps Louisville residents humanely trap community cats, bring them in for spay or neuter surgery and veterinary care, and return them to the places they know. The organization also works with local animal welfare partners when a cat needs additional care or cannot safely return outdoors.

During their visit, CDI team members toured the Community Cat Complex, where Alley Cat Advocates provides surgeries, short-term medical rehabilitation, and care for cats with special needs. Seeing the facility gave the team a closer look at the important work carried out by the organization’s staff and volunteers.

Hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville, this year’s Give for Good Louisville raised a record $10,530,421 for 665 nonprofit, educational and religious organizations across Kentuckiana. CDI served as a Presenting Prize Partner, helping participating organizations earn additional funding through prizes such as the Greatest Two Minutes in Giving. The visit was an opportunity to celebrate Alley Cat Advocates’ win and recognize the people caring for community cats across Louisville.
