Presque Isle Downs & Casino Supports Erie Humane Society and the Lives of Shelter Pets Through $39,000 Donation

ERIE, PA., (May 14, 2024) – Presque Isle Downs & Casino (“Presque Isle”) celebrated another incredible community outreach initiative by generously donating $39,341 to local Erie, Pennsylvania non-profit, Erie Humane Society. The donation will directly support the organizations mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need across the local community. All donation funds were raised through the properties Give $5, Get $10 reward program, Donation Stations located throughout the casino and team member donation events held on property.

Originally founded in 1892 with the mission to investigate crimes of animal, child and elder abuse, the Erie Humane Society has focused their efforts on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming pets since 2015. Operating under “No-Kill” standards, the Erie Humane Society works to rehabilitate the whole pet, understanding their behavior, medical, and emotional needs. With the teams dedication and commitment to reintegration efforts, pets are given an opportunity for a fresh start while waiting to find their forever homes.
