Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel Distributes 750 Turkeys to Federal Employees During Thanksgiving Giveaway

OAK GROVE, Ky. (November 20, 2025) — Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (“Oak Grove” or “OGG”) demonstrated its commitment to community support by hosting a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway for federal employees. These individuals were among those most impacted by the recent government shutdown and are often overlooked in a region with a strong military presence.

Oak Grove purchased 750 turkeys, which were distributed in just two hours. Despite cold temperatures and steady rain, volunteers and members of the marketing team worked tirelessly to ensure the event’s success. Even turkey costumes made an appearance, bringing smiles to attendees and adding a festive touch to the day.

“This was truly a team effort,” said Katie Marcoux, Sr. Director of Marketing at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. “The rain and cold didn’t stop the marketing team or the volunteers. It was a great event and further solidified that OGG wants to and does give back to our community.”

OGG wants to extend a special thank-you to the Christian County Military Affairs Committee (MAC) for their invaluable support in making this event possible.
