Ellis Park Racing & Gaming Expands Its Community Support Efforts
HENDERSON, Ky., (February 5, 2026) — Ellis Park Racing & Gaming (“Ellis Park”) began the new year through charitable contributions supporting families, individuals with disabilities and children across the region.
A highlight of Ellis Park’s outreach was a sponsorship of a Happy Wheels Cart at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley. The mobile cart, unveiled on January 16, brings bedside comfort to patients and families through snacks, toys, blankets, books and essential items. It provides small moments of relief during difficult hospital stays.
In addition to the Happy Wheels Cart partnership, Ellis Park extended its support through financial contributions to several local nonprofit organizations. Each received a donation to help further its mission and programming:
- Experiencing Autism Together, which works to expand sensory-inclusive programs and community experiences for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
- Harbor House, providing enrichment opportunities, life skills development and community engagement programs for adults with disabilities.
- Father Bradley Shelter, a housing program dedicated to helping women and families rebuild stability and independence.
- Feline Fix, a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) organization that humanely traps cats, transports them for spay or neuter services and safely returns them to their original locations to help manage local cat populations.
These efforts reflect Churchill Downs Incorporated’s longstanding commitment to enhancing the communities its properties serve. Ellis Park Racing & Gaming is proud to continue supporting organizations that make a meaningful impact across the region.
