Churchill Downs Incorporated Honored at Partners in Philanthropy Awards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (August 28, 2026) — On Tuesday, August 25, Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI”) was honored as one of Louisville Business First’s Top Ten Large Companies for philanthropic giving at the 2026 Partners in Philanthropy Awards. As the Title Sponsor of this year’s event, CDI was proud to support a celebration recognizing the businesses and nonprofit leaders who are making a lasting impact across the Louisville community.
Held annually, the Partners in Philanthropy Awards recognize Louisville-area businesses that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to supporting the community through charitable giving, volunteerism, and meaningful partnerships with nonprofit organizations.
Companies are recognized in Small, Medium and Large business categories based on annual revenue, with honorees selected for their philanthropic contributions made during the previous calendar year. The event also spotlighted Nonprofit Visionary Leaders, including executive directors, presidents and CEOs of Louisville-area nonprofits.
At Churchill Downs, our goal is to help make Louisville the best place to live, work, and build a future by investing in local neighborhoods, expanding opportunity and strengthening Kentucky’s signature industry. Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, employee volunteerism and strategic community investments, CDI remains committed to creating meaningful, lasting impact across the communities where its team members live and work.
“CDI is honored to support Partners in Philanthropy. Events like this are an important celebration of the local philanthropic community that make Louisville such a special place to live, work, and grow,” said Mark Whitten, Director of Community Relations at CDI.
