Churchill Downs Incorporated Hires Tim Scott As Senior Vice President Of Sales And Marketing

Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) ("CDI" or "Company") today announced the appointment of international marketing executive Tim Scott as the Company's senior vice president of sales and marketing. Scott joined the Company on Tuesday, Feb. 8, and reports to Andy Skehan, CDI's chief operating officer.

Scott most recently served as senior vice president of marketing for AMF Bowling Worldwide, Inc., a Richmond, Va.-based bowling manufacturer and owner of bowling centers with annual sales of more than $700 million. During his five years with AMF, he also served as chief operating officer of the company's International Bowling Centers division, supervising general managers in five countries.

At CDI, Scott will be responsible for Company-wide strategic marketing initiatives and oversee marketing budgets, branding and advertising initiatives, market research and product development. He will also leverage CDI's new Customer Relationship Management platform to maximize the Company's ability to identify, track and market directly to its customers.

Prior to his tenure at AMF, Scott held posts as vice president of marketing and advertising and vice president of creative services at Long John Silver's ("LJS") Restaurants, a 1,500-unit quick service restaurant company with approximately $800 million in annual sales. At LJS, Scott's duties included brand positioning, menu management, advertising development and marketing execution including new products and promotions.

Scott also served as senior vice president, account director at ad agency Young and Rubicam, and prior to that worked at Pepsico for five years in two posts - vice president of marketing for KFC Canada, and senior director of international marketing for KFC (both now part of Yum! Brands Inc.).
