Churchill Downs Incorporated Responds to TVG Decision

Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: CHDN) (“CDI” or “Company”) Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer Bill Carstanjen this evening responded to news of a decision by Television Games Network (“TVG”) to discontinue negotiations with CDI on a new contract to broadcast and accept advance-deposit wagers on the Company’s horse racing signals.

“Churchill Downs Incorporated has been negotiating with TVG for many months. Our discussions occurred under a confidentiality agreement requested by TVG, and we have continued to honor that agreement.

“We are fully exploring our options going forward with regards to television and account-wagering rights. We will make our plans public in the near future and will work diligently to ensure a seamless transition for our customers.”
