Ben Murr

Ben Murr was named president of United Tote on June 2nd, 2010. He also serves as a senior vice president for Churchill Downs Incorporated ("CDI").

Murr joined CDI in March of 2008 as vice president and chief information officer. As the chief information officer, Murr was responsible for all of the IT systems of the parent company and its operating units.

Prior to CDI, Murr worked for General Electric for 12 years. His final position was the chief technology officer of the Americas for GE Industrial, located in Louisville, Ky. In that role, Murr oversaw technical operations for the entire Industrial vertical.

Murr attended Bellarmine University and graduated with a bachelor of arts in economics in 1997. He joined General Electric Appliance's IMLP program following graduation and had rotations in various areas of IT. Murr completed his MBA at Bellarmine University in 2003.
