James E. Gay (Ted)

Senior Vice President of Business Development

Ted Gay joined Churchill Downs Incorporated ("CDI") as director of business development in March 2003.He was promoted to vice president in June 2006 and to senior vice president in January 2009. Gay is responsible for the identification and evaluation of the Company's business development opportunities, including potential acquisitions and partnerships.

Prior to his tenure with CDI, Gay lived in San Francisco and worked for Stanford Investment Group, an investment management firm catering to high net worth individuals. Previously, he held several positions with SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, including positions in SunTrust's loan syndications and investment banking groups.

Gay holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Virginia. He currently serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
