Title: Security Officer (seasonal opportunity April- September)

Location: Arlington Park/ Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Job Description:

Are you a vigilant, dedicated and reliable person? Do you enjoy working in or are interested in beginning a new career in the security field? If so Arlington Park may have what you are looking for! We are seeking 34 individuals with the drive to excel in our demanding security officer positions for our busy 2007 racing season. Our security officers are here to promote safety and security to Arlington Park guests, employees and the facility. We are willing to provide on the job training to individuals with a can-do attitude. Multiple shifts are available. These are temporary positions that begin in April and last through mid September.

Responsibilities:

· Patrols building and grounds, docks and work sites

· Examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure

· Deals with any violations to Arlington Park polices

· Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, water leaks and possible security breaches.

· Guards against theft of company property

· Sounds alarms or contacts local authorities in emergency situations

· Maintains crowd control and interacts with public on a daily basis

Qualifications:

· Must be dependable and responsible

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Attention to detail, solid ability to provide alertness

· Ability to read and understand basic policies and procedures

· Valid Driver’s license required for positions that require operation of Arlington Park vehicles

· Available nights, weekends and holidays

· PERC card preferred

· Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
