Position Objective:

To contribute to the company’s success through sales of events and individual advanced ticket sales. Meets individual and departmental sales goals and objectives. Responsible for solicitation, building new sales opportunities and maintaining sales relationships.

 

 To sell Arlington Racecourse as an entertainment option; exceed our guests expectations by giving them a quality product and the ultimate customer service; and operate at a profit while keeping costs to a minimum.
 Manage/develop business with Key Accounts, secure repeat business through telesales efforts and effectively prospect for new business.
 Develop and build relationships with customers through excellent interpersonal skills and exception customer service.
 Provide venue/pricing information and facility tours to current and potential clients.
 Responsible for developing facility contracts and collecting deposits for events.
 Effectively utilize “Daylight” sales and catering database system to track customers, events, and payments.
 Prepare files for turnover to Event staff; provide constant communication and necessary assistance to Event staff.
 Work as sales team member in assisting as additional requests arise.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Personal Qualifications:

Excellent human relations and communication skills are necessary. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and interact with internal departments. Ability to exercise sound business judgment and generate effective solutions quickly as necessary.

Able to respond to customer’s needs and make decisions that are beneficial to both the customer and Arlington.

Understand and represent Arlington’s image and reputation both at work and at functions outside Arlington.

Education, Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four year college or university; and two to three years experience in the hospitality industry with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent computer and telephone skills are required.
