Janitorial Porter

 

Summary

Keeps premises of facility in clean and orderly condition.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, all surfaces and trim.
• Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators (if any), stairways and all other areas of the facility.
• Sweeps, and mops floor and vacuums carpets.
• Dusts and/or wipe down furniture, chairs and equipment. Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills periodically.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Sets up tables and chairs when necessary.
• Performs setup and teardown of special events as scheduled.
